"I'll Be Seeing You" is the ninth episode of the fourth season of Eureka.

Synopsis[]

When Carter and Grant become stranded in 1947 again, they must race back in time to save Eureka... and Allison.

Plot[]

After the D.E.D. device disappears, Carter, Jo, Fargo and Allison find themselves in a déjà vu situation as their investigation puts Trevor Grant right at the top of the suspect list. The proverbial noose around his neck only tightens when they discover evidence that connects him to Beverly Barlowe, and her motive will put at risk everything they have struggled to achieve.

Grant is sitting in a café in 1947 giving directions to Adam Barlowe about going back in time to 1939 to stop the atomic bomb from being created.

Back in 2010 Allison and Carter cuddle in bed for a while until an urgent page from Fargo takes them to GD where Henry has a lead on the on the stolen D.E.D.

Beverly Barlowe shows Grant why they need the DED device for the plasma cell that powered it. She tells him that she can send him back to the exact moment he left.

Henry and Allison investigate the area that Henry is suspicion about while Carter and Jo speak to Zane. After talking about it, they realize that Grant might be involved. While investigating Grant's files, Jo and Carter realize that Allison and Henry are in danger, so Carter races out to warn them. However, just as he reaches them, a pulse wave goes off and throws the truck that Henry and Allison are in, straight into Carter's jeep.

Carter and Henry survive the pulse, but Allison doesn't. Carter tells Henry to stay with her and goes to find where the pulse wave came from. He finds a hidden workshop where Beverly and Grant have activated the new bridge device. Carter attacks Grant and both are teleported back to 1947 again.

When Carter explains to Grant that his trip caused Allison's death, they decide to try and prevent it by stopping Adam Barlowe from stealing the bridge device plans to begin with. Short of that, Grant is even willing to let Adam Barlowe die, in order to achieve this result. Grant remembers when Allison saved Adam Barlowe and tells Carter they can go stop her from saving Barlowe or at least warn her about what happens to cause her death before she goes back.

Every idea that they try fails. Allison still saves Adam Barlowe, despite the fact that Grant stole the jumper cables. Adam Barlowe still steals the bridge device plans. Carter is unable to warn her before they all go back.

As Grant and Carter meet back up, Grant tells him that he repaired the beacon that brought them here this time. Carter tells him he was not able to warn Allison, but then has a flash of an idea. Carter goes back and records a message to himself on the recording wire that he listened to earlier that day.

With the new information on the recording wire, Carter makes it out to Allison sooner and drives headlong into the hidden building, stopping the energy pulse from dispersing and preventing Allison from being killed. Beverly Barlowe disappears and gets away again.

Grant and Zane are cleared of all charges, but Grant decides to leave and start a new life away from Eureka.
