Purpose[]
The Subatomic Reconstructive Transport was a teleportation device, used as an emergency escape system in the event of a GD lockdown. It required a sample of DNA to work, and operated by destroying the original body while simultaneously constructing a new one somewhere else.
History[]
Apparently created before 9/11 (since Allison stated it was made before the Treaty), the device had successfully passed primate tests before the Treaty caused it to be discontinued. The device remained unused until a series of events forced Henry, Allison, her son, and Beverly into being trapped in the saferoom storing it. It was eventually used to free Kevin for the influence of the Artifact by reconstructing him with his pre-incident DNA, and later by Beverly to escape the town. It is presumably still in GD and fully operational.
